What is Youth Week?
Youth Week is no ordinary "camp"; this is a week-long experience for all students from entering middle school to graduating from high school. Youth Week is an amazing opportunity for our youth to grow in discipleship of our Lord and Savior and to grow with their friends and make new friends through fun and exciting fellowship opportunities throughout the week. Our Youth also participate in mission projects that make an impact on the lives of people within our own community and nation and around the world.
This Year’s Theme: Opening Doors
Ask, and you will receive. Search, and you will find. Knock, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Whoever seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door is opened. (Matthew 7:7-8 CEB)
To Send With Love
Returning this year to Youth Week is To Send With Love!
We believe that youth have the ability to change the world and to shine the light of God's love on everyone. Youth Week gives our youth an opportunity to be heroes and to make an impact on their local and global communities. Youth are invited to kick-off Youth Week on Sunday morning this year with Youth Skip Sunday, our quarterly mission project when the youth skip church so that they can be the church in the Western Branch, Churchland and North Suffolk communities. On Monday and Wednesday, our youth will purchase and pack at least 700 relief kits for the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR).
