For more than 50 years, God has blessed New Creation United Methodist Church with faithful people who have answered the call to serve—through prayer, worship, generosity and love. Some continue to serve among us today. Others have gone on to glory. All of them remain part of our story.
Order forms are available in the church office and online through the button below. Completed forms and payment must be submitted by Monday, March 30.
The “Lean On Me” Prayer Garden is being created to honor those saints and to offer a peaceful outdoor space where we can pause, pray and reflect. Located at the Peppercorn entrance of the church, this garden will be a place of gratitude, remembrance and connection—a space where we can feel close to God and connected to the people who have shaped our faith and our church.
You are invited to be part of creating this sacred space by dedicating a personalized engraved brick in honor or memory of someone meaningful to you.
We have contracted to work with VisionScapes to bring this project to life. Thoughtfully designed as a welcoming, peaceful space for prayer and reflection, the pathways will be lined with engraved bricks, each one telling a small piece of our larger story—names, prayers, ministries, milestones, and memories woven together.
The design intentionally includes filler bricks, allowing space for future dedications as our church’s story continues to unfold. This means the garden will grow over time, welcoming new names, new prayers, and new chapters in the life of our congregation.
In addition to creating the initial pathways, this project also establishes ongoing care and maintenance for the garden. Gifts toward the prayer garden help ensure that this space remains beautiful, accessible, and welcoming for years to come.

Personalized engraved bricks are available for $100 per dedication.
Each brick may be dedicated in honor or memory of:
• A loved one or family member
• A Sunday school class or small group
• A ministry or team
• A teacher, mentor or pastor
• A veteran or service member
• Children, grandchildren or other meaningful relationships
The possibilities are wide and personal—just like the stories they represent.
Order forms are available in the church office and online through the button below. Completed forms and payment must be submitted by Monday, March 30. Brick sale tables will also be available in the commons on January 11 and 18 to assist with questions and submissions. If you have any additional questions, contact John Thomas (757-620-7349 or john.gail1@verizon.net).
These bricks will become part of a shared pathway—a visible witness to the faith, love and service that have shaped New Creation and will continue to shape it in the years ahead.
