At New Creation, we believe every teenager is created by God with gifts and passions that can change the world for good. Our Youth Ministry (6th–12th grade) is a place where students are welcomed, loved, and encouraged to grow in faith. Together, youth experience Christ’s transforming love through authentic friendships, meaningful service, and worship that connects faith to everyday life.
Our New Creation Youth (6th–12th Grade) meet upstairs in Rooms 204-205 (Youth Lounge) during the 11AM service, but their activities vary each week. On the 1st Sunday, our youth participate and help lead communion during the 11AM service. At least once a month, our youth “skip church” to be the church in our community through service projects, prayer walks, and visiting shut-ins.

Our youth are part of something bigger. Through events with the Coastal Virginia District and the Virginia Annual Conference, students build friendships, grow in faith, and discover their place in the wider church. These connections give youth meaningful experiences beyond our congregation and remind them they are part of a global movement of Christ-followers.

We believe young people aren’t just the future of the church—they are the church today. At New Creation, youth are encouraged to step into leadership roles by serving communion, welcoming guests at worship, and shaping ministry on the Youth Leadership Team.
The safety and well-being of every student is central to our ministry. All youth staff and volunteers are trained through our Safe Sanctuaries policy, which includes background checks and boundary awareness training. This ensures a safe, accountable, and Christ-centered environment where teens can thrive.
